Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector-car auction company, is set to return to the Kentucky Exposition Center Sept. 21-23 for Mecum Louisville 2017 with an estimated 700 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more to cross the auction block from approximately 20 states, as well as Canada.

The inaugural Mecum Louisville auction in 2016 was a success with a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Convertible taking top-seller honors at $280,000, followed by a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback hammering sold for $255,000.

Leading featured consignments for Mecum Louisville 2017 is a Sunfire Yellow 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (Lot S124), a two-time NCRS Top Flight winner with its original L68 Tri-Power-equipped big-block engine, original M21 Muncie 4-speed transmission and original tank sticker, trim and VIN tag. Other featured consignments include a 1969 Dodge Super Bee (Lot S96) powered by a date-code-correct 440 Six Pack engine with a believed-original 48,135 miles and an Acapulco Blue 1969 Shelby GT500 Fastback (Lot S119) with a 428 cubic-inch Ram Air Cobra Jet V-8, which is also documented with two build sheets, a copy of the Shelby window sticker and a Marti Report.

Mecum Louisville 2017 is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is available online in advance for $100, $200 after auction start, and includes admission for two to the three auction days. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online once the auction begins; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.

Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the vehicle auction beginning at noon on Thursday, Sept. 21, and at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23. Mecum Louisville 2017 will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network for 13.5 hours. A live stream of the entire auction will be presented at Mecum.com.
