Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, will return to the Colorado Convention Center in Denver this July 12-13 with an estimated 600 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, trucks, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more to cross the auction block.
Highlighting the fifth-annual auction in the Mile High City is a 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback(Lot S100) that is one of just 118 Nightmist Blue GT500s produced with an automatic transmission for that year. With a low 24,000 original miles, Shelby No. 00410 has been cared for and maintained by a single family since the 1990s and benefits from a recently completed concours rotisserie restoration. The Shelby is equipped with a balanced and blueprinted matching-numbers 428 CI Police Interceptor V-8 topped with restored original Holley 600 CFM BJ/BK 4-barrel carburetors and features a matching-numbers Select-O-Matic transmission.
Joining the auction-headlining Shelby GT500 at Mecum Denver 2019 are a 1960 Chevrolet Impala (Lot S127) painted in correct code 900-A Tuxedo Black with an original code-873 Red and White interior, and a 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS (Lot S45) that has been driven just 10,800 miles since a frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration.
