Ducati’s new Scrambler Café Racer includes the familiar Scrambler teardrop tank with interchangeable panels, and has a new passenger seat cover for the two-up seat for when you’re going it alone. Mimicking a nostalgic 60s racer with the handlebar position and mirrors, this machine brings out all the best in performance. Stunning features include but are not limited to; an all-black engine and brushed fins, the Termignoni exhaust with double silencer and black anodized aluminum Termignoni muffler, headlight fairing, side number holders and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II with 17-inch gold aluminum wheels. This new Racer comes in at only around 11 grand.

Here are a few highlights concerning the newest edition to the family:

  1. Looks versus performance with the new Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer. Design and performance have been perfectly blended to appeal to a wider variety of riders.
  2. The aggressive riding position of the Ducati Café Racer. Making use of the signature café racer running clip on handlebars, the riding position is not the most relaxed, but the performance is a step above the necessity for a relaxed ride with this machine.
  3. Black and gold trim. The black and gold trim are classic and always appealing to the eyes. The gold wheels compliment the gloss-black finish.
  4. Radial front brake pumps. The Café Racer will have a radial front brake pump, a piece of equipment that is typically reserved for sport inclined machines. This means, more feel at the lever and more control over the front brakes.
  5. Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires. Ducati added a much more sporting oriented tire. This creates more versatility for all driver types.
  6. Fully adjustable suspension is here. The Ducati Café Racer is equipped with fully adjustable 41mm forks featuring 5.9 inches of travel, along with a pre-load adjustable rear shock.
  7. The Café Racer is far more sporting. The Ducati Café Racer will have an increased rake angle of 21.8° and a shorter trail of 3.7 inches.
  8. An upgrade in braking performance. The Cafe Racer will feature dual 330mm semi-floating rotors up front, with radial Brembo M4-32 calipers as standard. In the back you’ll find a 245mm rotor with a single caliper.
  9. A seat for two. Café Racers were descendants of the race bikes that we saw hitting tracks and road races in the 1960s. Now, the Ducati Café Racer allows for both worlds and has an aerodynamic seat cover that is removable, so you’ll be able to carry a passenger if needed.

      10. The same engine, but with a Termignoni silencer. Bolted to the steel trellis frame of the 2017 Ducati         Café Racer will be the  803cc, two-valve, air-cooled engine currently found in the Scrambler Icon. The Scrambler         CR also arrives with a black anodized, Termignoni silencer.
