GONE FARMIN’ RETURNS
An impressive auction lineup of 400 vintage tractors and 600 signs and farm relics is set to hit the auction block at the Mississippi Valley Fair Center in Davenport, Iowa, March 28-30 at Mecum Auctions’ 2019 Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic.
Among the steel-wheeled star attractions serving as auction headliners are a 1918 Waterloo Boy R (Lot F30) and a 1920 Waterloo BoyN (Lot F31) from the collection of Kenny Kass, a highly respected restorer who has been mastering his art for the past 50 years. Another auction highlight is the 1914 Case 20-40 (Lot F42) that is considered one of the most popular and iconic tractors, and this one is in exceptional condition. The original self-contained dump tractor, a 1931 McCormick-Deering Iron Mule (Lot F43), will also cross the auction block at the event, and if you’re looking to add a punch of power to your collection, the lineup will further include some eye-catching muscle tractors, such as a 2010 John Deere 8225 R (Lot S27), a 1967 International 1206 FWA (Lot S42) and a 1974 Oliver 2255 FWA (Lot S26). More than 10 private collections comprising various makes and models are also set to be offered in Davenport.
In addition, Gone Farmin’ is now offering vintage farm trucks, 25 years or older. Trucks have been a staple on American farms for more than a century, serving as natural stablemates alongside their tractor brethren, and Gone Farmin’ is excited to carry on that long-standing tradition. Two International trucks, a Ford truck and Willys Jeep truck are all slated to cross the block at the Spring Classic.
More than 600 signs and farm relics will also be offered on Friday, March 29. This assemblage will include porcelain signs, neon signs, gas pumps, wagons, pedal tractors/cars, clocks and more.
A customer-appreciation reception will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bettendorf, Iowa.
