The Atlanta Concours d’Elegance will be taking the next six months on the road to share its enthusiasm for classic cars, while creating informal gatherings that highlight American and European pre-1960 and pre-1970 classic cars and motorcycles throughout various venues within the metro-Atlanta area. The all-new ‘Classics & Coffee’ morning gettogethers will be held during the fourth weekend of each month at different pre-selected venue locations that will be announced at www.atlantaconcours.org on the first of each month. Each event is expected to showcase 30-50 classic cars and motorcycles and will be sponsored by Atlanta Classic Cars. The first gathering will take place Saturday, March 25th, at First Baptist Church of Sandy Springs, 650 Mount Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328 from 9-11am.
‘Classics & Coffee’ is an alternative to the usual exotic car and hot rod gatherings many car enthusiasts have come to expect and attend; however, according to Bill Wallet, co-chairman and COO of the Atlanta Concours d’Elegance, there’s an additional world of automotive beauty worth gaining recognition. “We’re opening a whole new channel for car enthusiasts to enjoy the heritage of our industry and share in the beauty that historic vehicles and restorations can provide.”
Over the next six months, various venues will play host to ‘Classics & Coffee’ and several surprise nationally recognized guests are already slated to show their favorites. Wallet noted that even the Atlanta Motorsports Park will be hosting one special day on site at the private racing club, but like the other events, details will only be learned online and potential attendees will need to keep checking the website and facebook page @atlantaconcours for up-to-date information and registration.
