Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) announced that its seven-passenger crossover, the 2018 Outlander, has been named an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK winner when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights*. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is an independent non-profit scientific and educational organization that researches, performs evaluations and assesses safety ratings in crash testing of production vehicles.
“Thanks to our advanced safety features and technology, the Mitsubishi Outlander continues to acheive IIHS safety ratings for the fifth consecutive year,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA. “The Outlander remains a leader in reliability and dependability, and we are proud to receive this recognition by one of the most reputable organizations in the industry.”
